Best Tire Sizes for a Lifted Ford F-150

One of the top reasons F-150 owners install a leveling kit or lift kit is to run bigger, more aggressive tires. Factory tire sizes can look undersized in the wheel wells of a full-size pickup — especially with all that empty fender space up front. But knowing exactly what size tire you can fit without rubbing, trimming, or handling problems is critical before you buy.

STOCK F-150 TIRE FITMENT

A stock F-150 typically comes with 265/70R17 or 275/55R20 depending on trim. The maximum tire you can typically run without any modification is around a 265/70R17 (31.6") — and even that can rub on some trims when turning at full lock.

WITH A 1.5"–2" LEVELING KIT

For most leveling kit builds on an F-150, a wheel with -12 to -24mm offset works well with 33" tires.
